Learn English Software

i have a facebook buddie and she’s from Taiwan, but she was supposed to teach me some more Mandarin chinese too. I am going to have to up the anty with it all.

I want to learn English to write and speak fluently, but do not have source of income.Because of that looking for a complelely free of charges source to get a chance.

how to improve english language vocabulary ?? is there any software or any way which helps improving vocabulary..

I am English and I used to teach TEFL in Asia, Europe and the UK. I’ve found that those that learn English from British teachers or from living in the UK hardly ever have a British dialect - they maintain their own accent. However those foreigners who learn from Americans often end up sounding American themselves, which to me is a shame as they then lose a bit of their identity as they now sound American. Why does this happen?

I want to learn enough French to be able to understand simple language. I only speak English and have no real experience with any other languages (except 2 years of Latin, which I mostly forget).

I have access to the Rosetta stone software and the two levels of French lessons that are offered by the company. I do not have anybody I can practice with, I will have to learn on my own.

Does the Rosetta stone method work? Are there any other self-learning computer programs that are better? I can get access to any others that might be more effective.

Has anyone used the Rosetta Stone software to learn enough of a language to read a simple newspaper story, or understand a television news broadcast?

change the audio from English to French

english has become the first language for many reasons.. but everybody has to learn that language if you want to be succesful.. I am not native speaker.. but I am learning english.. everybody in the world speaks in english.. in china etc. at least they are learning or they know the basic words.. the majority of the good information is in english why is that?

My mom wants to learn english by hearing my brother and I speaking and watching tv in english. Will she be able to learn to speak the language that way.

An Egyptian co-worker of mine has been recently been joined here in the US by his wife. She would like to learn to speak more fluently in English. I have obtained Pimsleur audio lessons but was wondering if anyone had other suggestions for at home lessons. I saw on-line that Rosetta Stone makes software to learn English. But I’m confused. I can’t find info on which language(s) are supported.

Any ideas would be appreciated!
