Learn English Software

I mean, what kinds of text books do teachers use for children(pupils) to learn English as mother tongue ?
Or you can provide me some short stories easy to read for children.
Maybe a website is helpful to me.

I am currently a year 11 and have to choose my A levels. I want to do psychology and biology and i don’t know what else.
I was thinking of English language but don’t know what the course involves. Can someone give me some information on the subject please and what it involves.

Thanks but you’ve gave me the wrong information, You have just told me about english literature which is a different subject to take. i want to do english language. which so far im guessing its about english in general and writing essays and has a mixture of different stuff.

Actually preparing for Edexcel but other board based books will do.

I am interested in doing English Language and Media Studies for my A-levels as i want to work in journalism, however i am unsure as to what you actually do during these two courses? if you have to do a lot of speeches and presentations etc then that would be a problem for me as i do not do well in them as i get very nervous…i do not mind presentations in groups but if they always have to be individual ones, then no way!!

I am helping an eight-year-old boy at school, who just arrived in Australia, and kowns very little about English. He is very interested in computer games. So I really need to find out if there is any free software that is fun and can help him to learn English (with Chinese background)? Your answer will be tremendously appreciated. Thank you so much.

In ESL classes in high schools, is it harder for Latinos to learn english since whatever they need to know is laid out infront of them in their own language? OR would you say that it’s just as hard for them to learn English? Or is it easy to learn a new language for anyone?

I’m going to a private schools sixth form which is also the school i have attended for the past 5 years and to do my gcses. The English teaching is of a VERY high standard - however it puzzles me how they do not offer English Language at A level and i really want to stay on even though its small as i know that is where i know i will do best at my a-levels.
