How many esl students are enrolled in your school and how much do they pay to learn English?
I am doing a research paper on the McDonaldization of English as a second language. In order to make this paper the best that I can I require some stats. How many English as a second language students currently attend your school (elementary, high school, private school, university) and how much are these students paying to learn English. Anyone with additional information will receive my vote.

My younger cousin who just immigrated from China has been here for 6 months and has been attending school (he is in ESL classes) and still cannot read or even speak an entire sentence. He has only learned the basics such as “can i go to the bathroom” “how are you today”. He can’t hold even the most basic conversations.
I was wondering if this is normal.
